Live Liquidation Heatmap

Track real-time Bittensor liquidation clusters on the TAO/USDT perpetual. See where leveraged longs and shorts are stacked and which price levels could act as magnets or breakout fuel.

What is the Bittensor Liquidation Heatmap?

The Bittensor Liquidation Heatmap shows the price levels where leveraged TAO/USDT positions would be force-closed. In a market where a single cluster can account for a meaningful share of open interest, knowing where those levels sit is a direct read on risk.

Colour intensity ranks the clusters. The brightest bands are the levels carrying the most exposure, and a move into one adds its own volume to the move, which is why price often travels further through a dense zone than the initial catalyst would suggest.

TAO is the asset on this list where that effect is most pronounced. Its order books are thinner relative to its market capitalisation than the large caps, so an identically sized cluster moves price further here than it would in BTC or ETH. Moves extend rather than stall, and the heatmap is often the clearest advance warning of how far one could run.

How to Read Our Liquidation Heatmap

Read the TAO heatmap through its five components:

  • Color Intensity: Brighter zones hold the densest leveraged TAO exposure, and in a thinner book those zones carry outsized influence on price.
  • Horizontal Bands: Identify the stacked levels where liquidation orders wait, often spaced widely given the asset's volatility.
  • Volume Scale (left): Shows exposure in USD per level, worth weighing against TAO's comparatively thin liquidity rather than in absolute terms.
  • Price Scale (right): Anchors clusters to live TAO prices, giving precise levels in a market that moves in large increments.
  • Candlestick Path (center): Tracks TAO price through the exposure field, where a single cluster can be enough to extend a move.
  • Time Axis (bottom): Connects risk to specific sessions, showing when leverage built up and how long it has been sitting there.
