Daily close and perpetual volume across tracked exchanges
Mask Network started as a browser extension that lets users encrypt posts and send crypto on mainstream social platforms such as X. It has since grown into a wider set of web3 social tools. MASK is the network's token. Perps let traders take leveraged positions on the decentralised social theme, or short a token with a reputation for sudden, sharp moves.
MASK has a history of abrupt price spikes that arrive with little warning, often as leveraged traders pile in after the first move. Binance carries most of the volume, while KuCoin, MEXC and Bybit hold open interest that is large next to their trading. When funding jumps during a spike, late longs are paying a premium, and reversals can trigger fast liquidations on the way back down.

MASK has a history of sudden rallies because modest buying can move a relatively thin market quickly. Forced short covering on perps then adds to the move. These spikes often reverse just as fast, which hurts late longs who chased the rally.
Mask Network was founded by Suji Yan, who started it as a tool to bring encryption and crypto payments to mainstream social media. The project has since invested in and acquired several web3 social apps, keeping it tied to the decentralised social theme.

Sentiment around decentralised social apps, exchange-driven speculation and broad altcoin moves drive MASK perps. Sharp spikes followed by quick reversals are common. Watching funding and open interest together helps show when leverage is piling in ahead of a possible reversal.
MASK perpetual futures are derivatives contracts that track the price of MASK and never expire. Instead of settling on a date, they use a funding rate to stay close to the spot price. You can go long or short with leverage without holding any MASK.
Funding is a payment between longs and shorts. When MASK perps trade above the index price, funding is positive and longs pay shorts. When they trade below it, shorts pay longs. Most exchanges settle every 8 hours and some, including Hyperliquid, settle every hour.

Coinperps does not give trading advice. Funding, open interest, the long/short ratio and liquidations show how other traders are positioned, but crowded positioning can last longer than expected. Size positions so a liquidation would not hurt you.
