Kabosu, the shiba inu behind the Doge meme, has a successor of sorts in Neiro, the dog her owner adopted in 2024. NEIRO is an Ethereum memecoin named after that dog, with no product or revenue behind it. Perps give traders a leveraged way to play dog-themed memecoin rallies, and a way to short them when attention fades, without dealing with on-chain liquidity.
Binance holds most of the perps volume and open interest, with OKX and WhiteBIT making up much of the rest. That concentration makes Binance's funding rate the main gauge of crowding. NEIRO tends to move with DOGE and other dog coins during memecoin rallies, and sharp reversals can hit leveraged longs in quick succession. Several tokens share the Neiro name, so check which contract a venue lists.

Neiro is a memecoin on Ethereum named after the dog adopted by Atsuko Sato, whose shiba inu Kabosu inspired the Doge meme. It has no utility beyond its community and brand. Its price depends on social attention and on memecoin market sentiment.

Yes. Several unrelated tokens launched under the Neiro name in 2024, on Ethereum and other chains, and some exchanges list more than one. Check the contract address and ticker on each venue, since they track different tokens with different prices.
NEIRO often moves with DOGE and other dog-themed memecoins, since the same traders and narratives drive the group. It tends to swing harder than DOGE in both directions because its market is smaller. Comparing it with DOGE perps helps separate sector moves from token-specific ones.

Memecoin rallies attract late leveraged longs who enter at similar prices and end up with similar liquidation levels. When price turns, the first liquidations push it lower and trigger the next batch, creating a cascade. High funding before a drop is a common warning sign of this crowding.
NEIRO perpetual futures are derivatives contracts that track the price of NEIRO and never expire. Instead of settling on a date, they use a funding rate to stay close to the spot price. You can go long or short with leverage without holding any NEIRO.
Funding is a payment between longs and shorts. When NEIRO perps trade above the index price, funding is positive and longs pay shorts. When they trade below it, shorts pay longs. Most exchanges settle every 8 hours and some, including Hyperliquid, settle every hour.

Coinperps does not give trading advice. Funding, open interest, the long/short ratio and liquidations show how other traders are positioned, but crowded positioning can last longer than expected. Size positions so a liquidation would not hurt you.
