Spare graphics cards are the raw material of Render Network, a decentralised GPU marketplace where artists and studios pay in RENDER to have 3D scenes, visual effects and AI workloads processed by node operators. The project grew out of OTOY, the rendering software company, and moved its token from Ethereum to Solana in 2023. Perps give traders leveraged exposure to the GPU and AI compute theme, plus an easy way to short it.
Sentiment around AI hardware moves RENDER, so Nvidia earnings and major AI announcements can show up quickly in its funding and open interest. The network runs a burn-and-mint model where users burn tokens to pay for jobs and node operators earn newly minted ones, so real usage affects net supply. Binance leads volume, with Bybit, OKX, MEXC and Bitget behind it, and Hyperliquid runs a USD-margined market.

Render Network connects people who need GPU computing power with node operators who rent out idle graphics cards. Creators use it for 3D rendering and visual effects, and it has expanded towards AI workloads. RENDER is the token used to pay for work on the network and to reward operators.

The ticker changed when Render migrated its token from Ethereum to Solana in 2023 following a community vote. Holders could upgrade ERC-20 RNDR to the Solana-based RENDER token. Exchanges moved their spot and perp listings to the new ticker, so older charts may still show RNDR.
Users buy RENDER and burn it to pay for rendering jobs priced in fiat terms, while node operators are paid in newly minted tokens. When usage is high, more tokens can be burned than minted and net supply shrinks. When usage is low, emissions outweigh burns.

RENDER often moves with the broader AI trade, including GPU makers such as Nvidia, because traders see it as a crypto proxy for compute demand. The link rests on sentiment more than revenue, so it can break down. Comparing it with other AI tokens like TAO helps show whether a move is theme-wide.
RENDER perpetual futures are derivatives contracts that track the price of RENDER and never expire. Instead of settling on a date, they use a funding rate to stay close to the spot price. You can go long or short with leverage without holding any RENDER.
Funding is a payment between longs and shorts. When RENDER perps trade above the index price, funding is positive and longs pay shorts. When they trade below it, shorts pay longs. Most exchanges settle every 8 hours and some, including Hyperliquid, settle every hour.

Coinperps does not give trading advice. Funding, open interest, the long/short ratio and liquidations show how other traders are positioned, but crowded positioning can last longer than expected. Size positions so a liquidation would not hurt you.
