Solv Protocol is a Bitcoin yield platform that accepts BTC and wrapped BTC and issues SolvBTC, a token designed to make Bitcoin usable in DeFi across several networks. SOLV is its governance token. Perps let traders take leveraged positions on the Bitcoin DeFi theme, short SOLV without borrowing it, or hedge tokens received through the protocol's incentives.
Deposits into SolvBTC, interest in Bitcoin staking and yield products, and the price of BTC itself tend to set the tone. Unlocks of team and investor allocations add supply over time. The perps market is small and concentrated, with BingX carrying most of the volume and Binance second. Funding can swing hard in a market this thin, so watch liquidations for signs of forced selling after sudden drops.

SolvBTC is a token issued by Solv Protocol that is backed one to one by Bitcoin held by the protocol. Holders can use it in lending, liquidity pools and yield strategies on supported chains. Yield-bearing versions put that Bitcoin to work in staking strategies.
SOLV tends to react to sentiment around Bitcoin, since the protocol's business depends on demand for BTC yield. A strong BTC market can bring more deposits, while a falling one can reduce activity. The token still trades on its own supply and news, so the link is loose.

No. SolvBTC is designed to track the value of Bitcoin, while SOLV is a governance token whose price floats freely. SOLV perps follow the governance token, so their moves can differ sharply from Bitcoin's. A rising BTC price does not guarantee a rising SOLV price.
SOLV perpetual futures are derivatives contracts that track the price of SOLV and never expire. Instead of settling on a date, they use a funding rate to stay close to the spot price. You can go long or short with leverage without holding any SOLV.
Funding is a payment between longs and shorts. When SOLV perps trade above the index price, funding is positive and longs pay shorts. When they trade below it, shorts pay longs. Most exchanges settle every 8 hours and some, including Hyperliquid, settle every hour.

Coinperps does not give trading advice. Funding, open interest, the long/short ratio and liquidations show how other traders are positioned, but crowded positioning can last longer than expected. Size positions so a liquidation would not hurt you.
