Daily close and perpetual volume across tracked exchanges
VeChain is a layer 1 blockchain aimed at supply chain tracking, product authentication and sustainability data for businesses. It runs on two tokens. VET is the main value token, while VTHO is the separate token used to pay transaction fees. Perps give traders leveraged exposure to VET, or let them hedge and short the token without touching spot holdings.
Enterprise partnerships, network upgrades and broad altcoin sentiment drive VET. Volume is modest next to larger layer 1 tokens, so positioning can shift quickly. Binance leads on volume, followed by KuCoin and BingX, while MEXC holds a large share of open interest relative to its trading. Open interest that keeps climbing on a venue with little volume can signal a crowded book, so read the long/short ratio alongside it.

VeChain is a public blockchain designed for business uses such as supply chain tracking, product authentication and carbon data. Companies can record and verify product information on chain. The network uses a two-token model, with VET as the main token and VTHO for fees.

VET is VeChain's main token, while VTHO is the gas token that pays transaction fees. Separating the two is meant to keep fees stable for businesses even when the VET price moves sharply. VET perps track VET only, so VTHO price moves do not affect them directly.
Enterprise adoption news, partnerships and network upgrades drive VET, along with sentiment across altcoins. VET often moves with other older layer 1 tokens during market-wide rallies and sell-offs. Announcements can cause short bursts of volatility that hit leveraged positions on both sides.

VET perps are typically more volatile and less liquid than BTC or ETH perps, so stops can slip during fast moves. Liquidity is concentrated on a few large exchanges, and smaller venues can show wider spreads. Checking open interest by venue helps gauge where leverage is building.
VET perpetual futures are derivatives contracts that track the price of VET and never expire. Instead of settling on a date, they use a funding rate to stay close to the spot price. You can go long or short with leverage without holding any VET.
Funding is a payment between longs and shorts. When VET perps trade above the index price, funding is positive and longs pay shorts. When they trade below it, shorts pay longs. Most exchanges settle every 8 hours and some, including Hyperliquid, settle every hour.

Coinperps does not give trading advice. Funding, open interest, the long/short ratio and liquidations show how other traders are positioned, but crowded positioning can last longer than expected. Size positions so a liquidation would not hurt you.
