Daily close and perpetual volume across tracked exchanges
Onyxcoin (XCN) is the governance token of the Onyx ecosystem, with holders voting on proposals through the Onyx DAO. Its large supply and low unit price have made it popular with retail speculators, and it has a history of sharp rallies followed by equally sharp declines. Perps give traders a way to bet on XCN in either direction with leverage, without holding the spot token.
XCN perps trade on only a few venues in the Coinperps data, with BingX and Bybit carrying most volume and MEXC holding a large share of open interest. With so few markets, a single exchange can drive funding and liquidations. Low liquidity means slippage, gaps and stop runs are common during fast moves. Check the funding rates page to see whether a rate is local to one venue or shared.

XCN has a small market value, thin order books and a retail-heavy holder base, so momentum can build quickly in both directions. Leveraged positions add fuel, and liquidations can turn a modest move into a sharp one. Funding often swings as traders crowd in and out.
Open interest shows how much leverage is committed to XCN. Because few venues list it, a jump on one exchange can dominate the total, so check which venue changed. A rising total alongside an extended rally points to crowded longs that liquidations could unwind.

When price moves far enough against a leveraged position, the exchange closes it with a market order. In a thin market like XCN, those forced orders move price further and can trigger the next set of liquidations. That chain reaction is why XCN can wick sharply in both directions.
XCN perpetual futures are derivatives contracts that track the price of XCN and never expire. Instead of settling on a date, they use a funding rate to stay close to the spot price. You can go long or short with leverage without holding any XCN.
Funding is a payment between longs and shorts. When XCN perps trade above the index price, funding is positive and longs pay shorts. When they trade below it, shorts pay longs. Most exchanges settle every 8 hours and some, including Hyperliquid, settle every hour.

Coinperps does not give trading advice. Funding, open interest, the long/short ratio and liquidations show how other traders are positioned, but crowded positioning can last longer than expected. Size positions so a liquidation would not hurt you.
