Daily close and perpetual volume across tracked exchanges
Initia is a layer 1 network built to host many interconnected rollups, an approach it calls the Interwoven Stack. Apps launch their own chains, which settle to the Initia base layer and share its bridging and liquidity tools. INIT is the native token used for staking, governance and fees. Perps let traders take a leveraged view on this appchain model, short it, or hedge tokens received from airdrops and staking rewards.
INIT is a relatively young listing, so unlock schedules, new rollups going live and liquidity incentives move the market more than a long trading history does. Binance and BingX handle most volume, with WhiteBIT and Bybit next, and books elsewhere are thin. That shallow depth can make funding jump and liquidations cascade on modest order sizes. Track open interest to see when leverage is building.

Initia is a layer 1 blockchain designed as a base layer for an ecosystem of application-specific rollups. These rollups, known as Minitias, can use different virtual machines and connect to each other through Initia. INIT secures the base layer through staking and is used for governance.

Minitias are rollups that run on top of Initia, each serving a specific app or community. They settle to the Initia layer 1 and use its shared bridging and liquidity tools, letting users move between them more easily than across separate chains.
Initia lets users stake INIT with validators and also stake approved INIT liquidity pool tokens through a design called enshrined liquidity. This links staking rewards to liquidity on the network and gives holders a reason to lock tokens instead of keeping them on exchanges.

INIT has thinner order books than older layer 1 tokens, and a large share of volume sits on a few exchanges. Unlocks, airdrop selling and new listings can shift positioning quickly, and when leverage builds up, small price moves can trigger chains of liquidations.
INIT perpetual futures are derivatives contracts that track the price of INIT and never expire. Instead of settling on a date, they use a funding rate to stay close to the spot price. You can go long or short with leverage without holding any INIT.
Funding is a payment between longs and shorts. When INIT perps trade above the index price, funding is positive and longs pay shorts. When they trade below it, shorts pay longs. Most exchanges settle every 8 hours and some, including Hyperliquid, settle every hour.

Coinperps does not give trading advice. Funding, open interest, the long/short ratio and liquidations show how other traders are positioned, but crowded positioning can last longer than expected. Size positions so a liquidation would not hurt you.
