Plume is a blockchain network built for real-world assets, aiming to bring things like private credit, treasuries and commodities on-chain and make them usable in DeFi. PLUME is the native token for fees, staking and governance. Perps give traders leveraged exposure to the tokenisation theme, or a way to short a young, volatile token without holding it.
As a newer token, PLUME is sensitive to supply. Unlock schedules for early backers and the team can move funding and open interest well before the tokens arrive. RWA headlines, such as asset-manager partnerships or new tokenised products, also drive sharp moves. Binance accounts for most perp volume, with Bybit a clear second. Compare it with ONDO perps, another large RWA name, to separate sector moves from project news.

Real-world assets, or RWAs, are tokens that represent claims on off-chain assets such as government bonds, private loans, real estate or commodities. They let those assets move on blockchains and be used in DeFi. Plume and Ondo are among the projects built around this theme.
Yes, unlocks can affect PLUME because a large share of supply is reserved for the team, investors and ecosystem programmes and released over time. Traders often anticipate selling from new recipients, which can push funding lower and attract shorts before an unlock date.

Often it does. PLUME tends to react to the same news as other tokenisation projects, from large asset managers launching on-chain funds to regulatory progress on tokenised securities. Project-specific news, such as new issuers launching on Plume, can still make it move on its own.
PLUME perpetual futures are derivatives contracts that track the price of PLUME and never expire. Instead of settling on a date, they use a funding rate to stay close to the spot price. You can go long or short with leverage without holding any PLUME.
Funding is a payment between longs and shorts. When PLUME perps trade above the index price, funding is positive and longs pay shorts. When they trade below it, shorts pay longs. Most exchanges settle every 8 hours and some, including Hyperliquid, settle every hour.

Coinperps does not give trading advice. Funding, open interest, the long/short ratio and liquidations show how other traders are positioned, but crowded positioning can last longer than expected. Size positions so a liquidation would not hurt you.
