Daily close and perpetual volume across tracked exchanges
Theta Network is a blockchain built for video streaming and media, where community-run edge nodes share bandwidth and computing power. It uses two tokens. THETA secures the chain through staking by validator and guardian nodes, and TFUEL pays for transactions and node rewards. Perps on THETA give traders leveraged exposure to the decentralised media and edge computing theme, and a simple way to short it.
Compared with larger layer 1 tokens, liquidity here is thin. Binance carries the most volume, with WhiteBIT and BingX next, while Bybit holds a large share of open interest. Theta's push into AI compute through EdgeCloud, partner announcements and staking activity are the main narrative drivers. With smaller order books, funding can swing hard and a burst of liquidations can move price more than headlines would suggest.

Theta Network is a proof-of-stake blockchain focused on video, media and edge computing. Users and businesses run edge nodes that relay video and process compute tasks, earning TFUEL in return. THETA is the governance and staking token that secures the network through validator and guardian nodes.

THETA is the staking and governance token, used by validator and guardian nodes to secure the chain, and staked THETA earns TFUEL. TFUEL is the operational token, spent as gas for transactions and smart contracts and paid to edge nodes for sharing resources. The two have separate supplies and prices.
EdgeCloud is Theta's platform for renting out distributed computing power, including GPUs, for AI, video and rendering workloads. It has become a central part of the project's pitch to AI developers and ties THETA to the wider AI infrastructure narrative.

THETA perps have smaller order books than major coins, so a handful of large positions can tilt funding well above or below zero. Rates often diverge between venues, and a squeeze on one exchange can spread to the others through arbitrage traders.
THETA perpetual futures are derivatives contracts that track the price of THETA and never expire. Instead of settling on a date, they use a funding rate to stay close to the spot price. You can go long or short with leverage without holding any THETA.
Funding is a payment between longs and shorts. When THETA perps trade above the index price, funding is positive and longs pay shorts. When they trade below it, shorts pay longs. Most exchanges settle every 8 hours and some, including Hyperliquid, settle every hour.

Coinperps does not give trading advice. Funding, open interest, the long/short ratio and liquidations show how other traders are positioned, but crowded positioning can last longer than expected. Size positions so a liquidation would not hurt you.
