What Is the Bybit Referral Code?
Bybit referral code COINPERPS1 connects a new account to the Coinperps partner arrangement and gives the user access to Bybit's new-user reward track. It does not lower trading fees. Rewards are paid through task-based bonuses and vouchers, while trades remain subject to Bybit's standard fee schedule.
Many exchanges listed in our referral codes hub return an ongoing percentage of trading fees. Bybit takes a different approach, paying fixed rewards for completing deposit and trading milestones. The advertised 30,000 USDT is the highest tier of a ladder that few accounts will reach.
Bybit holds the top position in our perpetual exchange rankings, which is the stronger reason for most readers to open an account. Its perpetual order books are the deepest outside Binance. The TradFi suite also offers around-the-clock access to stocks, ETFs, metals and oil. Our Bybit review covers the data behind this ranking.
You must enter the code when creating the account. According to Bybit's referral FAQ, anyone who registers without a code is never recognised as a referee. It cannot be added later.

How to Use the Bybit Referral Code (Step-by-Step)
Registration only takes a few minutes, but the reward deadlines begin as soon as the account is created. You must deposit within seven days and trade within 30 days to remain eligible for the referee bonuses.
- Open the Bybit invite link: Register through the COINPERPS1 link to pre-fill the referral field. Check that the code appears before confirming the account.
- Complete Identity Verification: No Rewards Hub claim, including the sign-up bonus, is released until verification clears. Have a government-issued ID ready and expect a face check.
- Deposit at least 100 USDT within seven days: Eligible methods include crypto deposits, fiat deposits, P2P purchases and One-Click Buy. Transfers from another Bybit account do not count.
- Trade at least 500 USDT within 30 days: Volume from spot, derivatives or Bybit Alpha qualifies. Bybit excludes zero-fee spot pairs, Grid Bot trades and MT5 activity.
- Watch the 14-day account check: After each task, Bybit may review the account for up to 14 days and asks users not to withdraw funds during this period. Approved rewards appear in the Rewards Hub and must be claimed within 30 days.
- Claim and activate each reward: Rewards are issued as Derivatives Bonus or vouchers, each with its own expiry date. Unclaimed rewards return to the pool, while expired bonuses are not refunded.

Bybit's Welcome Rewards: Sign-Up Bonus and the Deposit and Trading Ladder
Bybit's core new-user offer has three reward layers, plus a separate TradFi pool. None of these rewards is paid as withdrawable cash.
- Sign-up bonus: This appears in the Rewards Hub during the first few days after registration and is released once verification clears. It comes as a Derivatives Bonus that can be used as margin on perpetual and futures contracts.
- Referee task bonuses: Bybit's referral guide lists a 10 USDT reward for depositing 100 USDT and 15 USDT for trading 500 USDT. Users can receive another 7 USDT for a fiat deposit or 3 USDT for staking 100 USDT in Savings. Trading 10,000 USDT within 30 days earns a Mystery Box worth up to 1,000 USDT.
- Deposit and Trading ladder: Every tier sets a minimum net deposit and a minimum derivatives trading volume. Both conditions must be completed within 14 days of the task appearing. Fulfilling only one requirement pays nothing. Upper tiers count taker volume only, while the 30,000 USDT maximum requires a six-figure net deposit and hundreds of millions in derivatives volume.
- TradFi reward pool: Users who fund their accounts and trade Bybit's stock, index, metals and forex products can qualify for a separate reward pool. Reaching 100,000 USDT in TradFi volume also completes the referee trading task by itself.
The Rewards Hub FAQ explains how the Derivatives Bonus works. It can cover position margin, trading fees, funding fees and losses before the user's own balance is used. Profits generated with the bonus are withdrawable, but the bonus itself is not. A user who withdraws deposited funds within three days after the ladder's calculation period ends forfeits the tier, even if both conditions were completed.

What You Pay: Bybit's Fee Schedule Without a Rebate
Because COINPERPS1 includes no rebate, users pay the rates in Bybit's published trading fee structure. Non-VIP accounts are charged 0.10% on each side of a spot trade. Perpetual fees are 0.02% for makers and 0.055% for takers, although Bybit notes that regional rates may differ.
Bybit measures these thresholds over 30 days and assigns the tier reached through either account assets or trading volume. Pre-market perpetuals and Innovation Zone contracts use separate schedules. Non-VIP takers pay 0.10% and 0.11% respectively.
The closest alternative to a fee rebate is Bybit's MNT programme. Paying fees with MNT, the Mantle network token, reduces spot fees by 25% and futures fees by 10% across every VIP level. This lowers the non-VIP perpetual taker rate to 0.0495%.
The discount does not apply to inverse contracts, bots, copy trading followers or API users. It also requires the trader to hold a volatile token in the Unified Trading Account.
Our Bybit vs Binance perpetual futures fees comparison places Bybit's 0.055% taker rate against Binance's 0.05%. The maker vs taker fees guide explains why resting limit orders on Bybit perpetuals cost less than one-third as much as market orders.

What the Bonuses Are Worth Compared With a Fee Rebate
The value of COINPERPS1 depends on trading volume. Comparing its fixed bonuses with the return from a percentage rebate shows how the economics change as activity increases.
- Light trader: A 100 USDT deposit and 500 USDT in trading volume unlock 25 USDT in referee bonuses. At the 0.055% taker rate, trading 500 USDT costs about 0.28 USDT. A 15% rebate would return roughly four cents.
- Moderate trader: Trading 10,000 USDT costs approximately 5.50 USDT in taker fees and qualifies for a Mystery Box worth up to 1,000 USDT. Even a low-value draw exceeds the rebate available on that volume.
- Active trader: Monthly taker volume of $2 million generates $1,100 in fees at 0.055%. A competing 15% rebate would return $165 every month. Bybit's ladder pays only once, with this volume reaching a tier worth somewhere in the low hundreds of USDT.
- MNT alternative: Using MNT for fees saves the same $2 million trader $110 per month through the 10% futures discount. That recurring saving comes with MNT price risk.
Fixed bonuses make Bybit's structure more valuable for new accounts trading modest amounts, since the rewards can far exceed a percentage of a small fee bill. Traders generating substantial derivatives volume over several months are likely to receive more from a rebate-based code at a competing venue. Our lowest fee perpetual exchanges ranking compares those platforms on raw pricing.
Funding is excluded from every calculation above. Bybit settles funding payments between long and short holders every eight hours. It is not an exchange fee, and a bonus no longer offsets it once the reward has been spent. The funding rates tracker compares Bybit with Binance, OKX and Hyperliquid on a contract-by-contract basis.

Bybit's Referral Rules, Restricted Countries and Regulatory Position
The programme rules determine who qualifies as a referee and how rewards are distributed. An eligible user must deposit 100 USDT within seven days, then trade 500 USDT within 30 days. Internal transfers and zero-fee pairs do not count. Bybit also excludes Grid Bot and MT5 volume.
Rewards come from a monthly pool of 500,000 USDT. Bybit distributes the allocation daily on a first-come basis and prioritises referees with higher trading volume. If the daily allocation is exhausted, a completed task may remain pending for another day.
The entity an account joins depends on its region. Bybit's global platform excludes the United States, mainland China, Singapore, Canada and the other jurisdictions covered in our Bybit restricted countries guide. EEA customers register with a separate Austrian entity, where the available products and promotional terms differ from the global platform.
Austria's Financial Market Authority granted Bybit EU GmbH its MiCAR licence in May 2025. The entity says it does not operate a trading platform for crypto-assets, which means European accounts cannot access perpetuals through it. On 4 August, Bybit Payments GmbH secured an Electronic Money Institution licence from the same regulator.
Bybit became the first exchange to receive a full Virtual Asset Platform Operator licence from the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority in October 2025. This licence covers the global platform used by most traders registering with COINPERPS1.
Counterparty risk also requires consideration of Bybit's security record. Attackers stole approximately $1.46 billion in ETH from a Bybit cold wallet in February 2025. The FBI attributed the attack to North Korea's Lazarus Group.
Withdrawals remained available throughout the incident. Bybit closed the asset shortfall within days, and customer balances were not reduced. The exchange has since sued the group in a US federal court, reporting that $48.4 million has been recovered and another $30.5 million frozen.
Our MiCA licensed exchanges guide explains how these authorisations affect retail accounts. The perpetual exchange regulation explainer provides further detail on the protections attached to different licensing structures.

Bybit Referral Programme vs Affiliate Programme
Bybit operates a main referral programme alongside several product-specific schemes and a separate affiliate tier. These arrangements cannot be combined, and switching programmes causes pending rewards to be forfeited.
- Referral Programme: Any verified user can share a referral code. Referrers receive commission on a referee's net trading fees for 365 days. The rate starts at 20%, increases to 25% after five qualified referees in a quarter, and reaches 30% after 100 referees or $15 million in quarterly derivatives volume. Referrer task bonuses total up to 1,720 USDT. Commission is based on fees paid after coupons and discounts, with settlement in USDT.
- Product referrals: Bybit Card referrals pay 20 USDT to the referrer and 10 USDT to the referee after the new user spends 100 USDT. Bybit Pay awards both parties 2.5 USDT following 10 USDT of merchant spending. Rewards are capped at 250 USDT per participant, and EEA residents cannot join. Copy Trading referrals offer up to 665 USDT, while periodic VIP campaigns have paid as much as 5,600 USDT.
- Affiliate Programme: This tier requires an application and manual review. It is designed for creators and communities with an audience. Instead of the referral programme's 365-day commission period, affiliates earn a perpetual revenue share that is settled daily in USDT. Existing referees retain their task bonuses when their referrer moves to the affiliate programme.
Several alternatives in this series provide ongoing fee reductions. Our Gate referral code and MEXC referral code pages cover rebates equal to 15% of fees paid. The Binance referral code page explains its 10% rebate, which is paid in USDC. Traders with higher volume can compare requirements across platforms in our best crypto exchange VIP programs roundup.
Bottom Line
Bybit referral code COINPERPS1 provides access to a bonus track rather than a fee rebate. Its relative value declines as trading volume increases. Smaller new accounts can receive referee bonuses and a Mystery Box worth far more than the percentage rebate available on the same activity.
An account generating millions in monthly derivatives volume still pays Bybit's full 0.055% taker fee, while the ladder provides a one-time payment. The MNT discount is the only recurring fee saving available.
Bybit itself provides the more compelling reason to register. It leads our rankings for liquidity and product depth, while its TradFi perpetuals offer 24-hour trading on stocks and commodities. Options on stock perpetuals launch on 17 September with SpaceX and Nvidia, according to The Block. Our Bybit TradFi review assesses the product suite, while the best TradFi perpetual exchanges guide compares it with Gate, Kraken and Hyperliquid.
Confirm which Bybit entity serves your country before relying on these figures. The EEA platform offers neither perpetual contracts nor the global promotions. For direct comparisons of fees, leverage and licensing, see our Binance vs Bybit, Bybit vs OKX and Hyperliquid vs Bybit pages.
